The Artists

Larry Oberc is a regular contributor to Sign of the Times. When last we heard from him -- he was facing relocation to another part of the country. From Boston to the outback.....

Kevin Lineback will soon be abandoning Missoula, Montana (home of the American Veterans of Foreign Wars bar that doubles as a gay bar in the evening) for the sweet daily rain of the Pacific Northwest while he completes his MFA in Printmaking at the University of Washington.

Brian Lynch has had more photographs on the covers of Sign of the Times than I have written stories. His Vancouver, BC studio photographs some of Canada's hottest performers and several of his prints grace the walls of the SOTT office and studio.

Dave Swartout is better known as a writer in this magazine, though as you can see by his artwork, his talents are varied. See the bio at the end of his story for even less information.

Barry Barnes lives and works in the Los Angeles area. His paintings have been exhibited in several southland galleries and museums. His background includes illustrations, cartoons, printmaking and silk screens. He is currently struggling as a freelance artist.

James Charette has had pieces in the Summer 1990 issue of Sign of the Times in addition to his pieces in this issue. A graduate of the Swain School of Design, he is plying his trade in an art supply store while working on a book of collage art.
